The Descent and The Descent Part 2 – Movie Review

These two movies were amazing and continued one after the other. The first movie was really the star of the two. The acting wasn’t the greatest, however does acting have to be the best in a horror movie. The suspense, tension, and thrill were all present. The concept for this movie was very interesting, and the whole movie plot worked very well. I believe the second movie could have added more than just more horror.

The plot of this movie starts with the main character out on a trip with her family and friends where her husband dies in a car accident, her daughter is also dead, the movie didn’t specify how, or I didn’t notice how. The movie then moves into the main focus of the show, a caving trip with her friends a year later. Whilst trying to find out a way of the cave, the women find alien/human/ape like creatures that only sense by sound. One by one each of the women is picked off. Leaving the two last women, one getting out safe. Then the second movie that women enters the cave again with a bunch of other cavers and two police members to try and find the women. The woman who got out of the cave at this point has no memory of when she was first in the cave. Soon they find themselves in the same position as the first group of women, fighting for their lives and trying to find an exit. The policewoman manages to get out, but her future doesn’t last. Her demise however is unexpected, yet interesting.

I really enjoyed this movie, and would recommend to everyone who likes suspense and horror. I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10.

Saw – Movie Review

For the first time ever, I actually watched this movie and I was hugely surprised with how great it was. I watched intently during the whole movie. I was on the edge of my seat throughout every scene. The pace and suspense in this movie was incredibly good. The movie was really well written and I cannot find much wrong with it. I even didn’t think it was as scary as I was expecting. It was well acted, well developed, and well directed/produced. Everybody should know the basis of the Saw movies, so I am not gonna repeat that or say anything to spoil it for anyone who still wants to watch them.

I would recommend this movie to all horror and suspense fans, and would rate this movie a 10 out of 10.

izombie season 1- TV show review

This TV show always kept me on my toes. I loved watching every episode, each episode was ever-changing with new stories, new plots, back stories. Each episode would leave you on a cliff hanger. This show has changed my thoughts on the CW channel and its television shows. I found this show so entertaining and mind gripping, I couldn’t wait for another episode. This TV show was written in a way that really allowed each character to develop into the roles they have become.

Overall I would recommend this show to anyone in the mood for a zombie show, but not one you would have thought of. I rate this movie a 9 out of 10.

Five Minutes of Heaven – Movie Review

I was very surprised, for a good reason, by this movie. It showed me just how a terrifying period in history can make such a huge change to the future. It wasn’t a documentary, however it was based around historical events that were happening.

This movie chronicles the story of the fight between Protestants and Catholics in Ireland. The movie focuses on a Northern Irish teenager who shoots this younger Irish boy’s brother in front of him, and ruins his life forever. Skip 30 years and we see the brother and the murderer about to meet up for a special TV broadcasting designed for reconciliation. However, the brother, played by James Nesbitt, bails out at the last minute and leaves the now healed teacher, played by Liam Neeson to try and track him down without any cameras around.

Finally, they decide to meet, and after a huge fight, etc. etc. things get resolved and all becomes well in some way. This movie just shows how good these two actors are at portraying these roles, the acting and the choice of actors was spot on. The camera work, directing, and plot line was also extremely well done. This movie was so well done, I would give it a 10 out of 10, and would recommend it to everyone, especially the dramatic and fast-paced movie lovers.
