Chef’s Table – TV Show Review

This Netflix original was really well directed, filmed, designed, and organized. It really detailed the chefs restaurants and food in the best manner for each of the chefs. Each chef story was portrayed extremely well, with lots of variety in the styles of chefs. Most of the chefs I had never heard of before which was really good also.

The skill that went into how the chefs learned and now cook was amazing. This show really enlightened the lives of very experienced chefs. The only thing I am disappointed about this show is that there were only 6 episodes, I would have hoped to have had more, but what was there was really well done.

I would recommend this to any food lovers, or documentary lovers. I would also rate this TV show a 9 out of 10.

Unplanned America – TV show review

The basis of this show was a group of at least 4 Australian youngsters decide to take a journey to the USA, and film their endeavors and escapades on the way. Each episode shows clips from them in a different major city of the United States. The places they end up visiting included a porn movie set in California, a gay club dance scene in NYC, and a nude cycling festival in Portland, Oregon. This movie really showed travelers in a new environment that they had never experienced before. It really shows how people’s expectations are totally different than the truth.

This movie was filmed pretty well, each member of the film had a great sense of humor, manner, and superb interviewing skills. This series is only six episodes long, but each episode is just enough for each city. The editing process was done with time limit in mind, and was done to perfection.

I recommend this movie to everyone, and would rate it a 9 out of 10.

Scary Movie 5 – Movie Review

This movie does not live up to its predecessors, especially the  first few scary movies. The lack of good acting in this movie was recognizable, the lack of good story line was noticeable, the lack of good jokes was even more common. The use of stupid and crap slapstick was all over this movie. The plot was terrible, and seemed to be made by a child. I don’t know if anyone likes this movie, but if you do, you have really bad intelligence.

I found a few things funny, but after half of the movie it got really boring and wasn’t really going anywhere. This movie was 45 minutes I will not get back, and a huge waste of my time.

I do not recommend seeing this movie, and would give it a rating of 3 out of 10.

Legend of the Knight – Documentary Review

This documentary chronicles the lives of people whose lives have been affected in some way by Batman, whether dressing up as him, reading his stories, or helping others by acting like him. This movie really shows how Batman has affected people over the time period it has been written for. One thing I liked about the movie was it showed people dressing up as Batman and helping their neighborhoods, hospitals, etc.

This movie was written really well and edited really well. It portrayed the people in great light and superb ability to lighten people’s days up. This documentary really helped me understand that there really are some great people in the world, they just can be hard to find.

I would recommend this movie to any documentary lover, and would rate it an 8 out of 10.

Before I Disappear – Movie Review

This movie was amazing, everything was done superbly, great directing, acting, editing, and filming.  This movie didn’t really have any major stars in it, however the acting was the best I have seen in a long time. Before I Disappear really took me by surprise in how well it was written and directed. Everything was perfectly done to make this movie, in my view, a masterpiece.

The movie is about a guy who is suicidal because his girlfriend died, and right before he commits suicide his sister calls to look after her daughter because she is having trouble with the law. He finally gives in and helps her out. Most of the movie is based around the night that the daughter and the uncle have, and how everything goes from bad to good to bad to good again.

This movie was a whirlwind of emotions, with hallucinations, drug overdoses, and parties. I recommend this movie to everyone (yes you too!). I would rate this movie an 11 out of 10.

Little Hope Was Arson – Documentary Review

This movie was really well directed and edited. It really portrayed from start what happened the days before, during, and after the arson fires that hit 10 churches in Eastern Texas. This documentary chronicles the lives of the criminals, the lives of the church goers, and the lives of the emergency services of the towns. This movie is really laid out neatly, has very few movie related flaws. The only reason I didn’t like it was the topic, I’m not much of a church goer, so maybe some statistics or something less-related to the incident, Christianity, or churches would have been better.

I would recommend this to any documentary lovers, it was very well made and researched. I would rate the movie an 8.5 out of 10.

Married (1st Season) – TV show

Before the second season starts, I watched to catch up on the 1st Season of the original FX show Married. This show is great, amazing, I found barely any flaws. The comedy was spot on. The acting was spot on. Everything was done right for the type of movie it was. The casting choices were perfect for the different roles.

For some reason this movie was able to capture a kind of humor I have never really seen much in a TV show it is hard to describe. It was raw, depressing, and fun all at the same time. This show really shows how married family life can be like and the humors surrounding it.

I can’t wait for the second season, and would recommend checking this show out. I rate the first season of this show a 9 out of 10.

The Inbetweeners 2 – Movie Review

I had been waiting to watch this movie for a very long time after seeing clips and pictures when it was being filmed from Facebook. However, I was kinda disappointed. The acting was alright, however lacking in parts. It was basically the first movie in a different country down worse. There was barely any plot change. The plot was lacking in sustenance. The comedy was very childish and not at all funny. However, just to see where this show was going in its second movie was interesting, but I would really hope they don’t make a third one. I hope this one is the last one.

I would not recommend this movie, unless you enjoyed The Inbetweeners, and are a huge fan like me. I was disappointed and I am an Inbetweeners fan. I rate this movie a 4 out of 10.

The Animatrix – Movie Review

After waiting a long time to finally see this movie, I was very impressed. This movie uses animation and computer graphics to display scenes from The Matrix universe. This movie is a collection of short anime and cartoon movies that describe The Matrix. This movie was well directed, definitely well animated, and had some crazy short animation. The plot lines of each movie were well thought out and very intelligent.

The choice of topics for each short movie was interesting. There was a scene with an Olympic runner, a scene with robots and a war, a scene mentioning the two pills taken for the different lifestyles. It was all out very well produced and designed.

I would recommend this movie to any nerds, sci-fi lovers, anime lovers, and especially Matrix lovers. I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10.
