Stephen Fry Live: More Fool Me – Stand Up Special

It was so different to see Stephen Fry in his element by himself on stage. His special seemed short but was actually pretty detailed and about an hour and a half long. The special was based around the release of his memoirs. In the special he thanked multiple countries for streaming the live broadcast at the time. He also talked about each country and things he had experienced in some. He also talk in detail about aspects of his life. And throughout the middle of the set he read a seen from his about when the Prince of Wales and Diana came to visit his house for tea. All of his stories and his knowledge on pretty much anything was very amazing. I’ve known about Stephen Fry most of my life, but to hear even more really makes me appreciate his talents.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who loves a laugh and definitely people who enjoy Stephen Fry. I would rate this a 9 out of 10.

Misery Loves Comedy – Documentary Review

This movie was really a display of many comedians giving their life stories and comedic stand up career successes and fails. This movie was pretty long for a documentary, but the movie never dragged. It kept up with a range of different comedians, from Steve Coogan to Kevin Smith. All of the comedians were very entertaining and interesting to hear their input on their own career paths. The movie started with introductions about their parents and family life. It moved into their early career choices. And went through the struggles and successes in stand up. Movie roles and TV shows were noted by each of the comedians. It was really star studded cast of interviewees. And the interview questions were really well developed and made for some great responses.

Overall, I would recommend this to any documentary or comedy lover. I would also rate it an 8 out of 10.

Kevin Nealon: Whelmed, but not Overly – Stand Up Comedy review

This show was very funny and the performer had great stage presence. He also knew his act very well and had obviously prepared it many a time before. This movie shows just how much of a well known comedian Kevin Nealon is with his mixed collection of interesting tales and comedic story lines. He also uses some very quick and witty tags that keep him known the world around. I think people who experienced this show live will leave with a great understanding that he has the delivery and power to make anyone laugh. Comedy is mostly about timing and Kevin Nealon knows where to use a punchline when, which is a very good quality for a comedian.

Overall this stand up was very funny, and I would recommend it to everyone. I would rate this stand up an 8 out of 10 for originality, wit, and complexity.

Tim Minchin: Ready for This? – Stand Up Movie

This movie was hilarious from the start. Tim Minchin is one of the cleverest comedians out there. He performs songs during his stand up. He uses his knowledge of the English language for his success on stage. He shows just how much he knows about other languages to, hinting on French and other languages in his set.

Some of his songs are particularly R rated and should not be listened to by delicate ears. But his timing and stage presence was amazing. He really showed just how talented of a comedian he really is.

I would highly recommend this stand up movie for all comedy lovers, and will rate it a 9 out of 10.

Demetri Martin Live (Netflix Original) – Movie Review

This stand up movie was very well performed by Demetri Martin and very well produced. Demetri Martin is a master of the one-liner and quick response jokes. He brings wit, sarcasm, and everything else to his routine. Each of his jokes have a sense of mastermind behind them. In his jokes he seems to be heightening the basics of human life and existence. His humor is dry and very fast paced. He can be seen as a highly intelligent play-maker and deliverer in the comedy world.

I would recommend this stand up special to any stand up comedy enthusiast. I would also rate this movie a 9 out of 10.
