Tim Minchin: Ready for This? – Stand Up Movie

This movie was hilarious from the start. Tim Minchin is one of the cleverest comedians out there. He performs songs during his stand up. He uses his knowledge of the English language for his success on stage. He shows just how much he knows about other languages to, hinting on French and other languages in his set.

Some of his songs are particularly R rated and should not be listened to by delicate ears. But his timing and stage presence was amazing. He really showed just how talented of a comedian he really is.

I would highly recommend this stand up movie for all comedy lovers, and will rate it a 9 out of 10.

Unplanned America – TV show review

The basis of this show was a group of at least 4 Australian youngsters decide to take a journey to the USA, and film their endeavors and escapades on the way. Each episode shows clips from them in a different major city of the United States. The places they end up visiting included a porn movie set in California, a gay club dance scene in NYC, and a nude cycling festival in Portland, Oregon. This movie really showed travelers in a new environment that they had never experienced before. It really shows how people’s expectations are totally different than the truth.

This movie was filmed pretty well, each member of the film had a great sense of humor, manner, and superb interviewing skills. This series is only six episodes long, but each episode is just enough for each city. The editing process was done with time limit in mind, and was done to perfection.

I recommend this movie to everyone, and would rate it a 9 out of 10.

Not Suitable for Children – Movie Review

Last night, I watched an indie comedy called Not Suitable for Children on Netflix. The movie was made in Australia, and all the actors had accents. But this movie was witty and humorous throughout, had some great meaning behind it, and touched on some very heated topics.

The story is about a man who gets testicular cancer, and has three weeks to have a child before he has the surgery to remove the cancer, causing him to not be able to have children. The movie shows him trying to find a woman, any woman, to impregnate for his child, even a lesbian couple. Finally, the guy decides to try with his best friend, which turns out pretty awkward in the end. However, they don’t end up having a child, but everything turns out good in the end. How I won’t tell you, because you have to watch it, but the movie ends on a very funny and high note.

This movie was well directed, well crafted, and definitely well written. This was a great late night movie for watching with friends. I would recommend to anyone in the mood for heartwarming laughs. I give this movie an overall rating of 9 out of 10.
